Imagine that I'm a muslim, and I've been raised in a muslim family, and have been living in a completely muslim country. How do I know that my religion is right? People who were born in Christian countries, withing christian families are as sure as me, that christianity is right. I'm 100% sure that Islam is right, and Christians are 100% sure that christianity is right. And that's not only christianity and Islam. People who've been raised in other religions believe that their religion is right, as much as we believe that our religion is right.

And about changing religions, I guess there are many people who think "how do I know that this religion is right? What if another religion is right?", and so, they learn more about other religions and convert. They convert to a religion which makes more sense to THEM. There are ex muslim christians and ex christian muslims, too. For one person, christianity may make more sense than Islam, and for another person, Islam may make more sense than christianity. It's the same thing with other religions too. And, no human is perfect, which means, no matter how sure a person is about a religion (even if it is a religion that a person converted to, after being in another religion for many years), there's always a possibility that it might be wrong. And even if a person learns everything about all the religions, it will still depend on how the person's brain works. If there are 50 people who learned everything about all religions, 10 of them may say that Islam is right, other 10 may say that Christianity is right, other 10 may say that Judaism is right, other 10 may say that Agnostics is right, and the other 10 may say that Hindhuism is right. And no matter how much they give advices and teach each other about the religion they think is right, it will still depend on how the individual's brain works. Maybe the person who said that Judaism is right, might start saying that Hindhism is right, because it makes sense, just to HIM. :/

Well, I personally, still believe in Islam, but I believe in it just because of a few reasons. It is accurate future-telling, but what if another religions talk about an accurate future-telling? How would I know which religion is right? Even if I don't follow any religion that I hear of, I will still believe that there is One God behind all of this, because this future-telling is too accurate to be a coincidence. Even if it is accurate in 5 religions, there is One God, because only a God can give such an accurate future-telling. I won't believe that there are more than one Gods, because what if the Gods start arguing? If they did, this planet wouldn't be going like a cycle. Things will change from time to time.

And the other thing is the illuminati. We see it too much, to disbelieve it. It's even on the US Dollar. They're EVERYWHERE! Like, why would an artist, copy other artists? Most artists try to be unique and stuff, so why would such an artist copy other artists's steps and stuff? I don't know about your opinion, but I'm sure that illuminati exists, and if the illuminati exists, a God definitely does exist.

I think God should have provided a better source for this :/ Or if I'm talking like a Pagan, I think God shouldn't have given a book, out of many others. Just a single mistake, a single misunderstanding, could send you to hell, but it would be great if God sends a miracle. A sign to everyone, telling everyone who God is.

If I ever leave Islam, I would still believe in God, but I wouldn't say that 'Allah is God' or 'Jesus is God' or anything like that. I will just pray to 'God' (it can be Allah or Jesus or anyone. I will be praying to the right, and real God), and of course, if I'm in that situation, I don't think I would be blamed, because I'm perfect and no matter how sure I'm about a religion or agnostics or atheism, there's always a possibility that I might be wrong. So, I wouldn't be believing a particular thing. I would just say " I don't know what's right, so I will just pray to the real God (the one who created this universe and everything in it, and controls everything) ".

But it's kinda saddening that, even if I leave Islam, my views on Homosexuality wouldn't change, because when it comes to religion, ALL religions have the same opinion on Homosexuality. It kinda proves that the real God has forbid homosexual sex/engaging in homosexual activities (not homosexuality. Homosexual attraction is natural, and I don't think any religion would say that this attraction is forbidden. I don't know about other religions, but Islam and Christianity forbid gay sex, directly, and in islam, anything which may lead to a sin is forbidden, which means, gay kissing and stuff are also forbidden.) I'm gay :/

//If I ever leave Islam, I would still believe in God, but I wouldn't say that 'Allah is God' or 'Jesus is God' or anything like that.//

To correct your misunderstanding, Allah is the arabic word for God. You will find all arabs, whether christians or muslim using Allah to refer to God. These two words are interchangeable so don't be confused and think Allah is a God other than the God who created the whole universe. You are basically stating that you wouldn't say that 'God is God'.

//I think God should have provided a better source for this :/ Or if I'm talking like a Pagan, I think God shouldn't have given a book, out of many others.//

You should never say how God should have done His job, He is All Wise and nothing or no one encompasses His Knowledge.

If the Quran was not a confirmation of the last Books, this would have caused more confusion as many ppl will think Islam was a new made up religion. Being a confirmation of the previous scriptures is proof that the God of all the Books is the same God and likewise, the same message and belief is preached each time and all ideas are consistent. The previous Books testify to the truth of the Quran and vice versa.

Last but not least, God created all human beings with a brain to think and to use their faculty of reasoning. It is our job to strive hard in this life and seek the Truth. Those who look to find the truth will be guided by God, and only He knows what is in the hearts of every person. Some ppl believe their religion is right not b/c it makes sense, but b/c it suits them right or it was the religion of their forefathers. Those who accept the truth based on the real facts and what makes sense rather than on their own desires are the true seekers who eventually accept Islam: To worship and submit yourself ONLY to the One True God, the Creator of all that exists.

While what you detailed is true of most religions and it is so by design, the design of men who are out to subjugate the masses. Islamic knowledge or religious knowledge in general is no different than any other domain. Research research and research. Verify verify and verify. The good news is there is no such thing as "qualification" in the sense that somebody put a stamp on it. The only requirement is that your arguments must be sound and consistent.

The unique thing about Islam is that although one is required to gain knowledge in multiple domains if you want to gain maximum benefit from God's message, it still comes down to just one look up book, the Furqan (standard bearer), non other than the Quran. A fully verifiable Self-referenced book.

Furthermore the Quranic framework points to individual research;

A) God is the teacher of Quran: Quran 55:02

B) God perfected and completed the message: Quran 5:03

C) Easy remembrance and understandability of the message: Quran 54:17

D) God declared the end of the message with the words "This day”: Quran 5:03

E) God explained the verses in detail: Quran 11.01

F) The responsibility of explaining it has been taken by God Himself: Quran 75:19

G) The role of messenger to deliver the message: Quran 5:99

H) God undertook to preserve the physical message: Quran 15:9

I) To use our faculties of observation, reason and logic and not accept anything without proof : Quran 8:22, 7:179, 25:44, 12:108, 2:111, 17:36, 10:100, 25:73, 4:82, 47:24.

J) And then this;

"وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ فَصَّلْنَاهُ تَفْصِيلًا ............" Quran 17:12 Even Hilali the ultra conservative translates it as "And We have explained everything (in detail) with full explanation"

Please don't confuse the illegal sect scene with Islam.

Islam as detailed in the Primary document Quran has no central religious authority, no rite of passage and no official clergy and just one 100% internally verifiable look-up book the Quran. It is the ultimate do it yourself religion both on an individual level and community level. Islam is definitely not based on "reviews" of others, it is all about research and understanding of God's words using the God given faculties of reason and logic and unlike the third parties review methodology, the reason and logic methodology have a huge advantage; besides the only methodology sanctioned in the Quran itself, anybody (Muslim or not) who uses it arrives at the same conclusion unless you break the established rules of logic and rational thought :)

Following the beliefs of your parents is indoctrination!

As an atheist, and agnostic if you could find proof that any religion is correct then I would have to follow it. There is no such evidence for any of them!

Islam predicts the future, sure by making the sort of vague statements that could mean anything. It's no better than a fortune teller in a fairground!

It's a big step from "I believe in conspiracies" to "therefore god exists", sorry that thats like saying "I like custard" therefore "a unicorn is living in my kitchen" - it's the sort of nonsense statement that no rational person can make.

When it comes to homosexuality, you realise that following most religions require that you hate or discriminate against one group or another, usually a quiet or hidden minority.

The fear of most religions is education, they find it dangerous that you could learn to think for yourself!

Not all religions have the same hatred for natural, beautiful love. Not even all Christian denomination. See:Episcopalian. Just because Judaism, Christianity, and Islam were written by the same kind of people and in archaic times doesn't mean that if a deity exists, he/she/it is immature and has a problem with natural love in a world full of hate.

who told you all born muslims are muslims?

i live in a muslim majority country and you'll see people insulting Islam and Allah swt astaghfir Allah for even no reason!!!

That indicates that Islam is not only based on faith but also on knowledge. The first word descended on Prophet Mohammad pbuh was "Iqra" and that has a significance in Islam. We must learn to understand then react upon it. Or else, you will find people making shirk unintentionally and they will be judged for that because internet and many books are there to help us.

I feel compelled to answer your question only because i read the entire thing. Frankly i feel quite cheated and if you must know, i didnt benefit anything from what you said.

Okay, of course each person thinks what they grew up with is 100% correct. However, growing up also means exploring different things etc. The problem comes when we dont explore fully what we grew up with; we simply adapt what our parents taught us and take that to be what is right. Instead, we dont venture fully into our own religions to explore its real meanings and understand it. The problem further increases when we have minimal understanding of our own religion and begin exploring other religions in which case we are easily convinced that what they say is correct and are hasty to convert because of the preconceptions set about Islam and not too glorious reputation attached to it. So first point is, go ahead explore bla bla, but explore your own deen first!

I really dont have anything to say anymore tbh.

EDIT: Please take a look at the following sources that i searched up because i felt very troubled by your question and my intellectual inability to comprehend/offer a suitable answer. I feel this person is more qualified for discussion on the issues you raised and answers it in the following questions. I do suggest you browse his index page if you want more answers to your questions. He takes long to answer questions so i recommend you just look through his index.

No, I don't think religion is complicated. Only those with weak deen say such things. So I'm asking you to properly research Islam, this is honestly a childish question.

Salam Really religion of Islam is complicated because Allah regulates people if they want to be safety on this world and in afterlife so we should adhere to it like or dislike
