Hi yes this can be the problem when the parents die.

I have a disability and live in a unit in an area with great public transport. I cook do my own washing and shopping and pay my own bills. My family do help me a little at times liked hired a cleaner once a year. Or help me with dentist bills.

A few just need help to get moving out and once they are out they would be right. I know of a friend who lived independently in a granny flat just had to come up stair for the shower.

Probably not most. Smart parents see to it that the disabled adult child becomes as self-sufficient as possible. If the adult child can't live on its own then perhaps it can live in adult foster care. That way the adult children are in place when the parents are no longer in a position to care for them or when the parents die.

Not all disabled children are unable to care for their personal needs and cook or clean. In fact I would say that most disabled adult children are able to do these things and that most of the disabled adult children who live with their parents do so for financial reasons.

Depends on the disability and the severity of it. Some do and some don't

No - not the majority.

Some have such big problems that they will always need support, so they either live with their parents or in a supported living facility, or a mixture of both.

But the majority can live a perfectly normal life, have their own homes, and do what everyone else does.
