I am going to be interning at the state blind school in the 1st grade--- where the kids are learning Braille.

I want to get a step ahead, and learn as much as I can.

Should I get a book on sight Braille? Braille blocks? What would be the best way to learn Braille as an adult?

It is very difficult for an adult to learn Braille by touch and as you are sighted it isn't a necessity. So beging by learning the letters by sight.

If you are going to be teaching visually impaired children or adults is would be in you best interest to learn Braille. Get a laminated braille alphabet and some simple braille books and teach yourself. Also ask the other teachers at the school for advise.

you're able to desire to look up colleges for the deaf and blind. they are in a position to the two furnish what braille books they have, or direct into the direction of the region for buying. thank you and robust success.
