The vocational aspects are only one part of the disability process. If denied you will soon receive a notice giving you 60 days in which to file an appeal. It can take at least 60 days for the ALJ to make the decision and for the writers to get it written up.
If approved the SSI portion of your file will be returned to the social security office for processing which can take 60-90 days. They work the cases in the order they are received from the hearings office. When they get to your file they will contact you to update the file regarding income, resources and living arrangements so that they can determine your benefit amount.
If approved the social security portion of your file will be sent to the Baltimore Md payment center for processing. That will take a minimum of 60 days since Baltimore processes all social security hearings approvals for the entire nation.

It takes a while for your benefits to start, maybe 6-10 weeks.
