a half. My lawyer keeps telling me that these cases take a long time to settle.

I know in real life a year & a half is a long time...but in 'court time' it's really only a day or two.
2-4 yrs would be speedy
5-7 yrs would be average
8-10 yrs is slow, but not unheard of
I've got an acquaintance who's been in litigation for 14 yrs.
It's a pain in the rear & you've got to stick w/it. A lot of the court personnel expect ppl to just give up because of the whole process.

my case is still pending at the EEOC status after little argument and request for more information from my past employer.
it has been 10 months but the EEOC had jumped on board within like 30 days of my attorney filing suit.
i think my case is pretty much cut and dry but, one never knows.
i am hoping to settle soon seems how every time i have an interview the potential employer calls the past and then they never return my calls, i am finding it difficult to apply for employment.

My sister's case is now at the 3 1/2 year point, with no end in site.
